What is eoc science

These are state-mandated exams and students may not exempt from these assessments. Students at the high school level will take an end-of-course assessment upon completion of the following ten courses at the end of Semester End of Course exams are taken during the second semester with the exception of Accelerated Geometry which is taken at the end of the first semester.

In order to help you prepare for the EOC, the following time constraints are set on the exam. Students must remain in the testing environment for the entirety of the testing session with the examiner. The registration dates can be obtained by the testing coordinator. Students can retake the test each year or take a different science test. Students unable to obtain a passing score are allowed to use one of the state-approved graduation options in an attempt to meet graduation requirements.

If a student repeats the course then they retake the EOC. The test is a graduation requirement and three opportunities are offered each year. Utah Biology All students in the content area must take this test to assess understanding.

Retaking the assessment is optional not required if a student takes two high school courses related to Biology for example regular Biology and later AP Biology, the student does not have to retake SAGE Biology for the second AP course Utah Chemistry All students in the content area must take this test to assess understanding, they are not required to retake the exam if they take more than one course in the subject area Chemistry, AP Chemistry, etc.

Utah Earth Science All students in the content area must take this test to assess understanding. Students are allowed but not required to re-take the SAGE if they take multiple courses in the same subject area ex.

Earth Science, AP Environmental Science Utah Physics All students in the content area must take this test to assess understanding, they are allowed but not required to retake SAGE Physics if they complete more than course in the subject area ex. Physics, AP Physics A, etc. Virginia Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry Students are required to take assessments for graduation as well as permitted to retake failed state assessments.

Kevin L. Students may retake EOCs four times a year and there is no cap on the number of times they may participate. Students enrolled in any of the ten core courses identified by the State Board of Education are required to participate in the Georgia Milestones EOC measure at the end of each course.

Re-takes only allowed for special circumstances; student must be enrolled in the course in order to be administered the exam. Kentucky administered a new state developed End-of-Course field test for Biology in spring Students must take the Biology EOC at the end of the course. Biology is given twice a year February and June. Chemistry is given once a year. Intro Physics is offered once a year.
