Who is cyborg superman
The full extent of his powers has never been tested in the comics, however, so it's impossible to say if Henshaw is as strong or fast as Superman.
During this same era, there was an astronaut named Hank Henshaw whose spaceship, the Excalibur, crashed into Earth, but who was saved by a pre-New 52 Superman. In this version, he is the sole survivor of his crew from their trip to Jupiter and back.
He did not become the Cyborg Superman at this point. They were defeated when Zod turned against the rest of them, trapping them in the Phantom Zone. The Green Lantern Corps was able to stop him, but again, he was able to escape. Ats of right now, as far as readers know, the Cyborg Superman is still at large. Comic Origins and Powers Explained. During a period of time when Superman had been radically transformed into an energy-based hero with new powers and a new costume, Cyborg Superman teamed up with the Toyman in order to wipe out the Man of Steel.
The Cyborg's device was created to disperse Superman's energy form, however, his energy reformed into two separate Supermen with different coloring and personalities, somehow making a terrible storyline even worse, though it thankfully marked the beginning of Superman's return to status quo. When Cyborg Superman was recruited into the Sinestro Corps as a herald of the incredibly powerful Anti-Monitor, he was sent against the Justice League on Earth alongside his army of Manhunters.
This once again brought him into conflict with Superman, though as the Cyborg was also enhanced with the yellow energy of the Sinestro Corps, he was able to overpower Superman and punch him through the Statue of Liberty, destroying the symbol that Superman stood for. After the Sinestro Corps War and Blackest Night events, the Green Lantern Corps created a new force called the Alpha Lanterns, tasked with not only taking lethal action against their enemies but also policing the other members of the GLC.
Henshaw was able to take control of the Alpha Lanterns and forcibly transform a number of GL rookies into his own personal army while he also fatally experimented on a number of them, hoping to reverse his own condition. To escape detection, Henshaw stored his consciousness in a toy. This toy was later stolen by the Toyman , leading the two villains to join forces to kill Superman. To this end, the Cyborg designed a machine that would break Superman's energy form down into multiple components and beam them to different points in the galaxy, preventing Superman from reforming.
A malfunction in the machine caused Superman to split into Superman Blue and Superman Red, the latter of whom eventually defeated and captured the Cyborg.
In a firm sense of irony, Henshaw shared with Superman an encounter with the Fantastic Four , convincing Superman that Galactus was the true ravager of Krypton for a time, the result transformed Superman into the herald of the world devourer for a while.
Galactus transformed Henshaw into an inanimate slab of metal after Henshaw demanded he be made his heir, and be made "perfect", since he was half-human, his reduction to this state, void of all human matter, was as perfect as the merciless Galactus could perceive. Henshaw later attempted to take over Kandor , but this failed when he was defeated by Superman and sent to the Phantom Zone.
Henshaw managed to escaped the Phantom Zone and attacked Superman, who was suffering from Kryptonite poisoning at the time. He was defeated with the help of the Kandorians and sent back to the Phantom Zone, swearing revenge. However, he was not encountered on subsequent visits to the Zone.
Henshaw eventually made his way to Sector , to Biot , the homeworld of the Manhunters , where he became their new Grandmaster. Jordan and Arisia combined the might of their power rings with one of the Highmasters, destroying the organic portion of Henshaw's body and most of Biot. The Guardians of the Universe believed that, during Henshaw's time in Sector , he may have discovered one of their most closely guarded secrets: the existence of the Multiverse.
Main article: Sinestro Corps War. Henshaw remained in custody on Oa until he was freed, along with Superboy-Prime , by a strike force of Sinestro Corps members. A death he had longed for, something even Superman couldn't grant him. Henshaw and his Manhunters headed to Earth to assist the Sinestro Corps in their attack.
En route, Henshaw stopped leading the Manhunters, which continued to their pre-programmed destinations. As he watched them go, he remembered everything that had happened to him; from their dreadful shuttle accident to his wife's suicide. He finished this journey of his mind by going to his wife's grave. He dug her corpse out and ripped it into two, shouting that all he wanted was not to be with her, but for his memories to fade. Meanwhile, the Manhunters begin an assault on the Justice League Satellite.
Hawkgirl , Black Lightning , and Red Arrow retaliated, but all three were neutralized when Henshaw assisted in the attack, and he successfully tampered with the mechanics of the satellite core. As the satellite was thrown out of orbit, Superman appeared and engaged Henshaw in battle. Their fight continued on Earth, while Sinestro transported his crew and his ship from the Anti-Matter Universe.
At first, Superman seemed to have the upper hand, but after two punches, Henshaw struck with great power and rage, punching him through the Statue of Liberty. By the end, Henshaw had Superman in a choke hold, thinking that the victory is near.
However, Superman was not alone. He commented that they almost managed to kill him that time. Before he was finally killed, he was able to thank the Green Lantern Corps for their mercy in ending his life. A small fraction of Henshaw's corpse was found after the explosion. The Manhunters confirmed that he had perished, but were confused without his leadership.
Seeking the leadership "programming" of their grandmaster, the Manhunters funneled a massive amount of energy into the Cyborg Superman, and he experienced yet another resurrection, crying when he realized he is alive yet again. After the Sinestro Corps War, Hensaw abandoned the Manhunters and was later present during the Blackest Night , trying again to seek his death.
Cyborg Superman somehow survived his death. Cyborg Superman was seen in the Reign of Doomsday crossover in Justice League of America issue 55 Boodikka was talking to Supergirl with the aid of Batman helping her recover from the war on New Krypton aftermath and all of a sudden Doomsday came and crashed the party.
Batman survived from his space suit, and with Supergirl took Boodikka back to the Justice League Watchtower. Doomsday found them and a voice said that "It wanted me, not the JLA. Boodikka's body turned out to be Cyborg Superman. He killed Doomsday, but Doomsday had a upgrade in his armor. Cyborg Superman and Supergirl were captured in a maze ship in space with the rest of the Supermen like Steel and Superboy with Eradicator, and Superman helped them try to find their way off the ship and away from the army of Doomsdays that were coming to attack them.
Cyborg Superman told Superman that there are different Doomsdays to get them. Superman had enough of Cyborg Superman talking, and he punched him and ripped out his metal heart to power him down. After the Doomslayer, Original Doomsday and the Doomsday clones were sent to another dimension, Henshaw is taken into custody by S.
As a result of the cosmic radiation, Hank Henshaw underwent a rapid degeneration but at the moment of his death, his consciousness jumped into a nearby computer. From that point on, his consciousness became tied to machines. He can possess machines and anything even remotely electronically mechanical and is able to control them completely with an ability he calls "technomorphing". Unlike most technopaths, he doesn't just command them, he incorporates them into himself and any nearby technology becomes an extension of himself.
He can take any machine and, once it's a part of him, he can transform it into anything his mind can imagine, and thanks to his time spent traveling across the universe, he can imagine a lot. And, even before becoming a living energy signal, Hank Henshaw was a genius, so this only adds to what he can come up with. The Cyborg is not limited by the uses or parts in the original machine, which makes this ability all the more dangerous.
He has exhibited heat vision and other kinds of vision , super strength, super speed, invulnerability, and flight. It is assumed that if he created biological lungs for himself he could duplicate Superman's freeze breath, but he has not done so at this time.
As with machines though, Cyborg Superman can modify his Kryptonian parts beyond their original limits and weaknesses. He has already removed his Kryptonite weakness and his understanding of biology seems so complete that he can create more living Kryptonian parts from machinery.
Cyborg Superman is also immortal, being able to live no matter what happens to his physical body. These weapons are not just for show either. He seldom uses them, usually relying on his Kryptonian powers, however, when he did use them he appeared to be rather adept. Other weapons at his disposal include Willhunters, nanites which he uses to enslave a person's mind and make them loyal to the Manhunters, as well as hundreds of Manhunter robots which he has upgraded and started mass producing to obey his every command.
Recently, he took control of The Alpha Lanterns just as he once did with the Manhunters and has been reproducing Alpha Lantern batteries in order to turn Lanterns that have been kidnapped by his new soldiers into Alpha Lanterns themselves.
The Manhunters meanwhile remain in Sector minus their Grandmaster. After a brief battle between the two, Parallax as Jordan would appear and interrupt their fight.
He would play a role in yet another Marvel crossover, this time with the Fantastic Four and Superman in their quest to stop Galactus. Hank Henshaw was a special agent that recruited scientist Jeremiah Danvers into the D.
He died in his ruthless hunt for J'onn J'onzz --accidentally thrown from a cliff when Jeremiah fought to protect the innocent alien. J'onzz later assumed his identity and climbed the ranks of the D.
